Plus de 20 000 touristes ont grimpé sur l'hôtel de ville de Bruxelles pour admirer le tapis de fleurs sur la Grand-Place (PHOTOS)

Environ 20.800 personnes se sont rendues sur le balcon de l'Hôtel de Ville de Bruxelles pour admirer le 24e tapis de fleurs installé sur la Grand-Place de la capitale entre jeudi et dimanche, révèle l'organisation de l'événement. Sous le signe des 160 ans de relations belgo-japonaises, les 750.000 dahlias qui composaient le dessin imaginé par l'artiste Hiro Sugiyama ont aussi attiré "des dizaines, voire des centaines de milliers de visiteurs" du monde entier.

Recouvrant une surface de 1.680 m², ce qui en fait le plus grand tapis de fleurs du monde, le tapis de fleurs a "permis une nouvelle fois de mettre en valeur toute la beauté de notre capitale et de faire rayonner la Grand-Place bien au-delà des frontières du pays", résume l'échevine de la Culture et du Tourisme de la Ville de Bruxelles, Nawal Ben Hamou, présidente de l'ASBL Tapis de Fleurs de Bruxelles qui organise l'événement.

En attendant l'édition 2028 du Tapis de Fleurs, les organisateurs donnent rendez-vous l'année prochaine pour une nouvelle édition de Flower Time, une exposition florale au sein de l'Hôtel de Ville de Bruxelles.
